University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) welcomes Suzanne Cheever Goudge to the UIW board of trustees. In Goudge’s professional career at Broadway Bank, she has held numerous positions in finance, bank investments and trusts; she currently serves on its board of directors as well as other committees. Her service to the community includes involvement with United Way, Alamo Heights School District board of trustees, Sunshine Cottage School for the Deaf, and the San Antonio Zoo, among many others. Her work within each organization not only spans years of service, but includes various leadership positions. Currently, she is vice chair of the new DoSeum, formerly the San Antonio Children’s Museum, which opened on Broadway in June. Goudge and her husband, Jimmy, have four children and four grandchildren. Goudge is the daughter of Charlie and the late Sally Cheever and granddaughter of Charles and Betty Cheever, all longtime supporters of UIW. “UIW has been important to my family,” said Goudge, “and I would like to give back by serving on the board.”
UIW welcomes Paula Gold-Williams to the board of trustees. Gold-Williams was named interim president and chief executive officer for CPS Energy in November 2015. She formerly served as group executive vice president – financial and administrative services, chief financial officer and treasurer for CPS Energy. She has held other positions in San Antonio, including regional controller for Time Warner and vice president of finance for Luby’s, Inc. Joining CPS in late 2004, Gold-Williams has served as controller and assistant treasurer; vice president and chief administrative officer, organizational excellence and shared services; and executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer. She is the chair of the CPS Energy Portfolio Strategic Committee and a member of the Oversight Committee. Gold-Williams serves as chair of the Advisory Committee of Executives for St. Mary’s University School of Business; on the board of KLRN, including holding a post on its Executive Committee and serving as board treasurer; and an advisory trustee to Southwest Research Institute and FM Global. In 2014, she was appointed as an honorary joint base San Antonio commander. She has received Best CFO and Finance awards from the San Antonio Business Journal and La Prensa. Gold-Williams mentors numerous people inside and outside CPS Energy, including college students, vice presidents, directors, and various other professionals. She is married and has two adult daughters. “UIW’s future continues to be wonderfully bright and I am honored to serve with other dedicated board members to support the university’s Mission,” said Gold-Williams.
