New UIW students attended the annual UIW Pinning Ceremony to mark their new beginning at UIW.
The University of the Incarnate Word welcomed a record number of 458 freshmen to the UIW dorms for the 2011-2012 school year. Members of the UIW community, including faculty and staff, assisted new students with the move-in process as they arrived on campus. Students and their families were also treated to a picnic on Dubuis Lawn.
New students ended the day at the 2011 UIW Pinning Ceremony where they received a special welcome from university administrators, faculty, and student leaders. The evening commemorated a new beginning at UIW.
