The Word Online Fall 2001 Mission Drives Vision: 15 years with President Louis J. Agnese, Jr.

All Those In Favor Say “Aye”

New academic agreements bring more together than top administrators for a nice lunch — they generate opportunities for students and the local workforce of San Antonio. Over this past spring semester, two agreement-signing ceremonies were held at the University of the Incarnate Word. One marked the development of a new undergraduate program, and the other opened another door to students who want to study and travel abroad. (read more)

UIW's New Programs

Technology is the buzzword these days - from the internet to innovations for the home and office - the rate of change has been breathtaking. UIW has recently implemented three new programs to better prepare students to join the workforces of the future: Computer Graphic Arts, Computer Science, and Engineering. (read more)

Development Board Helps UIW Reach Goals

"Helping Incarnate Word raise scholarship funds is a way to give back to my alma mater and to invest in the future of today's students," says Tom Jackson, UIW alumnus and current chairman of the University's Development Board. A member of the board since 1994, Jackson is a retired U.S. Army colonel who volunteers for a variety of community organizations, but counts his work with the university as his most rewarding. Honorees
