Angel Tree

Be an angel for children in need. University Mission and Ministry is once again sponsoring an Angel Tree for our community members who are in need of assistance this Christmas. Visit the Christmas tree located in the foyer of Our Lady’s Chapel and take an angel tag with a needy child’s information and wish. Please bring items in a holiday bag with the original angel tag to the University Mission and Ministry office (AD 147) any time before Friday, Dec. 15, 2017. Distribution of the items will take place Dec. 18- 20.

Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Walk

San Antonio hosts the largest Martin Luther King Jr. march in the nation. Come and be part of this historic walk with members of the UIW community as it celebrates its 50th anniversary and expects another record-breaking crowd. 10 a.m., Walk will begin at the Martin Luther King Jr. Academy located at 3501 Martin Luther King Drive, and end at Pittman-Sullivan Park located at 1101 Iowa Street.

Ecumenical Panel Discussion: Keeping the Dream Alive

Find out more about how to keep the dream of peace and equality alive. This panel discussion will be based on Catholic Social Teaching and form part of the San Antonio Dream Week programming. 3:30 p.m., Library Auditorium
