On Sept. 16, UIW dedicated the Henrich Center for Fencing and International Sports located on the campus of St. Anthony Catholic High School. The center, which opened in 2013, was officially named in honor of Dr. Timothy Henrich, former professor of sports management and kinesiology who served as a UIW faculty member for 22 years. Henrich was instrumental in the vision and creation of the sports center. He passed away in October 2014.

The dedication ceremony included speakers Dr. Kathy Light, provost; Dr. William Carleton, professor and chair of kinesiology; and John Moreau, UIW head fencing coach; as well as a blessing from Sr. Kathleen Coughlin, CCVI, vice president for institutional advancement. The event concluded with a reception and a fencing demonstration by members of UIW’s fencing team.
